Adam attended St. John Lutheran School, Seward Middle School and was a 2005 graduate of Seward High School. He was a member of the Nebraska Army National Guard and served in Iraq. On March 25, 2006, Adam was united in marriage to Candance Sue Nelson at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Goehner and their marriage was blessed with a son, Brock Porter. Adam was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Seward, the Eagles Club in Beatrice and was a former member of the Goehner Volunteer Fire Department. Adam worked as a CNA at Sundermann Homes in Seward then became a contractor with the gas company and currently was employed with the State of Nebraska Penitentiary in Lincoln. Adam is preceded in death by his grandfather, Eugene Hromas.
