Adeline Rosalee (Hoffbauer) Krska was born November 3, 1914 near Brainard, Nebraska to Jacob and Rosie (Dobesh) Hoffbauer and passed away in Seward, Nebraska on March 9, 2012 at the age of 97 years, 4 months, 6 days. Adeline attended country school and Brainard Public School. During her youth she was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Brainard. Adeline was united in marriage to George John Krska on December 30, 1946. They farmed near Ulysses until moving to Dwight in 1966. She was a member of Dwight Assumption Catholic Church and Altar Society and held many offices. Adeline and George served as custodians in the Dwight Catholic School. Adeline and George moved to Seward and were members of St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church. Adeline was a member of the Pink Sisters Auxiliary and was a member of Catholic Workman. Adeline worked with the School District of Seward lunch program and upon retiring she served on the Altar Society for funeral dinners. Adeline is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, George; great-grandson, Eric Bader; brother, Richard Hoffbauer; sister and brother-in-law Louise and John A. Tesina; brothers-in-law, Edward Denney and Arnold Janak. Survivors include her stepson and daughter-in-law, Bernard and Joyce Krska, Seward; grandchildren, Cindy and Philip Bader, Seward, Lyle Krska and Julie Liska, Ulysses, Julie Krska, Lincoln, Torie Taibemal, Seward; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; brothers and sister-in-law, Arthur and Virginia Hoffbauer, Brainard and Irving Hoffbauer, Des Moines, IA; sisters, Christine Denney, Corpus Christi, TX and Marcella Janak, Brainard; other relatives and a host of friends.
