Adolph Alois Spatz was born June 17, 1919 at Brainard, Nebraska to Anton F. and Ludmila (Kracman) Spatz and passed away on Monday, February 6, 2012 at Seward, Nebraska at the age of 92 years, 7 months, 20 days. Adolph was a graduate of Brainard High School; he served in the U.S. Army Air Corp in the Philippines. Adolph was united in marriage to Margaret Martha T. Pavel on March 30, 1948 and their marriage was blessed with four children, David, AJ, Dorothy and Thomas. The couple lived in their home two miles west of Bee all of their married life and Adolph was a lifelong farmer. Adolph was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Bee. He served as President of District 33 Country School for numerous years and on the Bee School Board for many years. Adolph was a member of American Legion Post #110 in Dwight. Adolph is preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Louis, William, Ray, Dan and Emil Spatz; sisters, Gladys Ustohal and Irene Spatz; daughter-in-law, Marilyn K. Spatz; granddaughter, Kathryn Elizabeth Spatz; brothers-in-law, Leonard Ratkovec and Albin Ustohal. Adolph is survived by his wife, Margaret M.T. Spatz of Bee; his children and their spouses, David J. Spatz, Lincoln, AJ and Margaret M. Spatz, Seward, Dorothy A. and David Nieland of Austin, MN, Thomas J. and Marilyn J. Spatz, Urbandale, IA; grandchildren, Brian J. and Lisa J. Spatz, Lincoln, Janeen L. and Derek Sturtevant, Waverly, Jacque A. and Travis Bailey, Fairfield, NE, Kristin M. and Brian Farber, Lincoln, Kimberly A. and Jordan Owens, Seward, Jennifer A. and Jim Handlan, Kennett Square, PA, Jamie L. and Ryan Melbourne, Red Deer, Alberta Canada; thirteen great-grandchildren, Taylor Spatz, Logan Spatz, Brayden Sturtevant, Addison Sturtevant, Austin Bailey, Nick Bailey, Rylee Bailey, Karlee Bailey, Amelia Farber, Alivia Farber, Natalie Handlan, Kyan Melbourne, Kiptyn Melbourne; sister, Margie Ratkovec, Wahoo; sister-in-law, Caroline Spatz, Brainard; and a host of friends.
