Alan John Witt was born on March 5, 1948 in St. Louis, MO; to Elmer John and Gloria Marcella (Ziegler) Witt and passed away on July 2, 2013 in Lincoln, NE; at the age of 65 years, 3 months and 27 days. Alan was a 1966 graduate of West Point High School, West Point, NE. Alan enlisted into the United States Air Force on May 15, 1967 in Omaha, NE; and was honorably discharged on May 14, 1971 in Las Vegas, NV. Upon his discharge Alan attended Southeast Community College in Milford where he studied computer programming. Alan worked for the State of Nebraska as Chief Information Officer for 40 years. Alan is survived by his sister, Patti and husband Tim Danbom of Seward, NE; and brother David and wife Kelly Witt of Portland, OR; aunts and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Gloria Witt. Private family services have been held. Burial took place at Seward Cemetery.
