Alfred Ernest Carl Pozehl was born June 30, 1927 near Staplehurst, Nebraska to Otto Frank and Emma Ida Hanna (Fehlhafer) Pozehl. He passed away in Lincoln, Nebraska on August 15, 2005 at the age of 78 years, 1 month, 15 days. He was baptized and confirmed at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Marysville. On February 26, 1950, Alfred was united in marriage to Ramona Wall in Seward, Nebraska. This marriage was blessed with three sons, Kenneth, Steven and Stan. Al lived all of his life in the Garland area. He was formerly employed by E.O. Peters Contractors as a plumber and pipe fitter and at the Garland Coop. Al was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Garland, a former member of the Garland Village Board and a retired member of the Garland Volunteer Fire Department. He was also a member of the Plumbers-Pipe fitters Union Local No. 88. Al enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and his many friends. Al was preceded in death by his parents, Otto and Emma Pozehl and his son, Kenneth Pozehl. Al is survived by his wife, Ramona Pozehl, Garland, sons, Steven Pozehl, Lincoln and Stan Pozehl, South Carolina; three grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Clarence and Aloha Pozehl, Utica, Marlin and Delores Pozehl, Seward, Roger and Doris Pozehl, Kentucky, sister and brother-in-law, Elvira and Tom Leininger, Plainview; nieces and nephews; other relatives and a host of friends.
