Alma Ethel (Buettgenbach) Morgan was born July 1, 1922 in Milford, Nebraska to Robert Hubert and Bertha (Hannah) Buettgenbach and passed away in Seward, Nebraska on March 10, 2007 at the age of 84 years, 8 months, 9 days. Alma was a 1941 graduate of Milford High School. On August 28, 1941, Alma was united in marriage to Leland Cecil Morgan at the Evangelical Church in Milford. This union was blessed with three children, Lorraine, JoAnn and Dennis. The couple farmed southwest of Ulysses for 40 years and then moved east of Seward in 1984, they farmed there until 1990 when they moved into Seward. Leland passed away in 2000. Alma was a farm wife and homemaker. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Seward and the Westside Country Club. Alma was preceded in death by her husband, Leland Morgan; her parents, Robert and Bertha Buettgenbach; brothers, Don, Dwaine, Dean and Darold Buettgenbach. Alma is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Lorraine and Tom Woodward of Lincoln and JoAnn and Roger Rhodes of Seward; son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Lynell Morgan of Auburn; five grandchildren and spouses, Melissa and Rod Mangel of Omaha, Jennifer and David Baumann of Omaha, Randy and Michelle Rhodes of Seward, Pam and D.J. Vokolek of Springfield, MO and Shelly and Grant Else of Holstein, IA; eleven great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Max and Virginia Buettgenbach of Merced, CA; sister, Joyce Steffen of Hastings; nieces and nephews; other relatives and a host of friends. To this obituary we add our thoughts, prayers and memories of life shared with Alma. |
