Annabelle Frieda (Rohe) Kovar was born March 29, 1938 in Lincoln, Nebraska, the daughter of Henry and Anna Jane (Bradley) Rohe and passed away unexpectedly on December 26, 2017 in Kansas City, Missouri at the age of 79 years, 8 months, 27 days. Annabelle was a 1956 graduate of Garland High School, Garland, NE. On February 15, 1958, Annabelle was united in marriage to Victor Kovar at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Bee, Nebraska and their marriage was blessed with seven children. Annabelle was baptized in the Roman Catholic faith on June 7, 1958. She was a homemaker, loving wife and mother. The family first lived in Garland, later moving to Norfolk and since 1973 Annabelle and Victor made their home in Lincoln.
Annabelle was a member of St John the Apostle Catholic Church in Lincoln. She loved to play bridge and played with a Couples Bridge Group. She was also a member of the Nebraska State Racquetball Association. Annabelle was a member of the VFW Auxiliary in Seward for a few years.
Annabelle was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Anna Rohe; her son, Mark Kovar; brother and sister-in-law, William and Laurie Rohe; brother, Charles Rohe; brothers-in-law, Larry Kovar and Lloyd Roebke and sister-in-law, Eunice "Jean" Kovar.
Survivors cherishing Annabelle's memory include her husband Victor Kovar, Lincoln; children and spouses: Steve and Paula Kovar, Lincoln, Tom Kovar, Lincoln, Teresa and Mitch Forst, Lincoln, Jim Kovar, Lincoln, Tim Kovar, Lincoln, Kristen Kovar and Chris Heiden, Lincoln; seven grandchildren: Lisa, Jenny, Aubrey, Ashley, Adam, Cejay, Brooklyn; 10 great-grandchildren: Tucker, Piper, Addie, Millie, Irwin, Henry, Henry, Bryson, Keadyn, Ellie; siblings and spouses: Judy and Bill Kapke, Milford, Doug and Mary Rohe, Emerald; sister-in-law Phyllis Rohe, Quartzsite, AZ; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Cyrill H. Kovar and special friend Ramona Svoboda, Crete, Gary and Vi Kovar, Garland, Judy Kovar, Beatrice, Dan and Delta Kovar, Seward, Ernie Kovar and special friend Jeanne Frentz, Wichita, KS, Susan Kovar, Wichita, KS, David and Jean Kovar, Lincoln, Gladys Roebke, Garland, Betsy and Charles Fletcher, Lincoln; several nieces and nephews; great nieces and great nephews and a host of friends.
