Anthony R. "Tony" Hottovy was born on January 25, 1992, in David City, Nebraska, to Anthony C. and Christine (Tvrdy) Hottovy and entered his heavenly home on November 16, 2024, in Omaha, Nebraska at the age of 32 years, 9 months and 22 days.

Tony came into this world in respiratory distress, but every moment he was alive he had a purpose. He loved making others feel better and spending time with the people he loved. His heart was so full of love, and it shined for anyone who would receive it. Tony reached more people with a kind word and his big smile. Although his body was always so fragile, he was the strongest man his family has ever met.

Tony loved puzzles, raising fish, playing cards with his grandparents, and tempting people with his mother's cooking. He also loved all animals, but especially snakes and lizards. Most of all, Tony was a devout Christian and shined for Jesus. He would spend numerous hours praying with his aunt for his sister, when she had upcoming surgeries. Although he was in pain and endured many trials throughout his life, Tony never complained and always had a smile on his face. Tony would put an uplifting post onto his Facebook every day. He was very involved in serving on the Tech Team at Christ Place Church.

Tony is preceded in death by his grandparents, Anthony J. and Francis Hottovy, Emil and Mary Tvrdy; uncle, Ray Tvrdy; aunt, Ann Houdek.

Survivors cherishing his memory include his parents, Anthony C. and Christine Hottovy; siblings, Angie Hottovy-Cuda, Jennifer Hottovy and Adam Hottovy; nieces and nephews, Jesse Cuda, Tayler Cuda, Mikala Cuda and Lilly Cuda; great-nieces and great-nephews, Kaiden, Karter, Paisley, Parker, Alivia and Khaleesi Cuda; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
