Aulana Marie Hulbert was born on April 13, 2004, in Lincoln to Joshua Dwaine Hulbert and Rachel Elaine Allen and passed away on September 2, 2016, at Children's Hospital in Omaha at the age of 12 years, 4 months and 20 days. Aulana grew up in Seward. She was in the 7th grade at Seward Middle School.
Aulana was a volunteer at the Seward Public Library and for Relay for Life. She attended the Nebraska Shrine Soccer Classic. She also participated in 4-H, TeamMates and she said she was a professional cat trainer. Aulana enjoyed going to the Seward Youth Center and loved going to their dances. She loved eating chocolate chip pancakes and watching the Huskers Football. Aulana had a lot of adventures disproving stereotypes. She had to fight so hard from the day she was born and never even thought about stopping for a second. She loved the Fourth of July and a good old gory Halloween. Aulana also liked camping with her family and wished she could be in the 6th grade again, so she would be able to go back to Outdoor Education. Aulana would tell people to Google her because she was famous and a true star. Paint your finger nails RED.
Aulana was preceded in death by her great grandparents, Ted Dierberger, Orr and June Hulbert, Jan and Melvina Jasinski, Emma Allen, two great uncle Jan Jasinski, Jr., Austin Allen, (uncle/friend), Jeremia Allder.
She is survived by her mother, Rachel Allen of Seward, father, Joshua Hulbert of Lincoln, sister, Jenica Hulbert of Seward, grandparents, Richard Allen of Lincoln, Jeff and Mary Hulbert of Lincoln, and Jim and Monika Serie of Lincoln, her Nana, Helen Dierberger, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
