Bernard Kralik was born August 16, 1946 in David City, Nebraska, the son of Ferdinand Rudolph and Alice Marie (Kacirek) Kralik and passed away on April 3, 2015, Good Friday, at their home near Seward, Nebraska at the age of 68 years, 7 months, 18 days. Bern was a 1964 graduate of Madison High School and a graduate of Western Nebraska Vocational Technical School in Sidney. On June 17, 1965, Bern was united in marriage to Carol Marie Hauf at Madison, Nebraska. Bern and Carol moved in Seward in 1966 and their family of four children, Shad, Staci, Shawn and Shari, was raised in Seward. Bern was the owner of Bern's Body Shop in Seward for 44 years and St. PJ for 22 years. Bern was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus Council #8469. He was a member of the Seward Area Chamber of Commerce where he had served on the Board of Directors and as President. Bern is preceded in death by his parents, Rudolph and Alice Kralik; his brother, Daniel Kralik; sister, Diane Long; granddaughter, Sidney Lewis; father-in-law, Orval Hauf and sister-in-law, Sally Henderson. Survivors cherishing Bern's memory include his wife, Carol Kralik, Seward; children and spouses, Shad (Iva) Kralik, Sarasota, FL, Dr. Shawn (Anne) Kralik, West Point, Staci (Mike) Lewis, Seward, Shari Kralik, Lincoln; seven grandchildren, Kelsie Kralik, Mitchel Kralik, Brock Lewis, Shelby Lewis, Kolton Kralik, Konnor Kralik, Jackie Redl; sister and brother-in-law, Jane (Doug) Brosh, Pender; sister-in-law, Bonnie (Pat) Soulliere, Columbus; mother-in-law, Betty Hauf, Norfolk; brother-in-laws, Jerry Hauf, Stanton and Marlin Hauf, Norfolk; nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
