Betty Jean (Mika) Cain was born February 13, 1929, in Milligan, NE; to Stanley and Amelia L. (Krejdl) Mika and passed away on April 14, 2016, in York, NE; at the age of 87 years, 2 months and 1 day.
On August 11, 1945, she married Loren Ernest Cain and began life as a homemaker in the Utica area. Betty Jean enjoyed raising their five children and children in general; she baby sat for years until her grandchildren came along. She loved music of various types and enjoyed singing about every day.
She was preceded in death by her parents and stepfather, Ralph Ulmer, in-laws, Ernest and Emma Cain; brother, Lumir S. Mika; sons, David Ralph Cain and Larry Ernest Cain; daughter, Terry Jean Cain; great-granddaughter, Molly Neal.
Betty Jean is survived by her son, Jerry L. Cain of Utica and daughters, Sheryl A. and husband Jeffrey Adler of Utica, Dawn A. and husband Tom Neal of Kansas. Four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 21, 2016, at the Utica Cemetery with Pastor Tamara Holtz officiating.
