Betty Lou (Arnold) Deckert was born February 27, 1934 in South Bend, Indiana to Hubert and Ruth (Jewel) Arnold and passed away on July 19, 2008 in Milford, Nebraska at the age of 74 years, 4 months, 20 days. Betty attended high school in South Bend. She was united in marriage to Ronald Green and to this union one daughter was born, Deb. Betty was later married to Lloyd Deckert. For the last eighteen years, Betty has been a resident of Seward where she was employed in food service with Memorial Health Care Systems and Concordia University. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert Arnold and Ruth (Arnold) Pajak, her husband Lloyd Deckert, her brothers, Hubert Arnold, Jr and Jack Arnold and her sisters, Pat Houghton and Jean Ristau. Betty is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Deb and John Edwards of Beaver Crossing, her grandchildren and spouses, E.J. And Cyndy Potter of Beaver Crossing and Jocasta and Don Zitek of Meriden, Kansas, her great granddaughters, Jordan, Sydnee, and KayCee Mundhenke, Alex Potter, Ryleigh and Chelsey Zitek, her sister, Nancy Richter of Ocala, Florida, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins. To this obituary we add our thoughts, prayers and memories of life shared with Betty. |
