Bradley Dean Sides was born on December 30, 1978, in Cambridge, Nebraska to Pat and Janice (Fimple) Sides and passed away on April 12, 2025, at his home in Seward, Nebraska at the age of 46 years, 3 months and 13 days. Brad was baptized on February 25, 1979, at St. Catherine's Church in Indianola, Nebraska.
Brad grew up and attended grade school and high school in Bartley, Nebraska, graduating with the Class of 1997. After graduation, he attended Colorado Aero Tech in Broomfield, Colorado where he received his Airframe and Powerplant License. Brad began his career in Colorado and then moved to Lincoln in 2000 to begin working at Duncan Aviation as an aircraft mechanic, working his way up to crew leader by 2002. During his 18 years at Duncan Aviation, he worked on the Falcon airplane. In 2018, Brad was promoted to Senior Falcon Service Sales Representative at Duncan Aviation in Lincoln.
Brad started dating Mary Ann Ruf in January of 2000. He moved to Lincoln, Nebraska, working at Duncan Aviation and continued to date Mary Ann as she worked on her Physical Therapy degree. In January of 2003, Brad made a special trip to Montana and asked Mary Ann to be his wife. The couple was united in marriage on April 17, 2004, in Cambridge. They made Nebraska City their first home where the twins were born, Madison and McKenna, and later, Bailee joined the family. In 2012, the family moved to Seward. In his free time, Brad enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and being outdoors. He loved supporting his daughters by attending all their events and going on family vacations.
Brad is preceded in death by his grandparents, Doris and Ernest Fimple; grandpa, Eldon Sides; uncles, Les Sides, Monte Bloyd.
Survivors cherishing his memory include his wife, Mary Ann Sides; daughters, Madison, McKenna and Bailee Sides; parents, Pat and Janice Sides; parents-in-laws, David and Margaret Ruf; grandma, Joan Sides; sister, Angela (Brent) Cook; sisters-in-law, Ami (Bryan) Hauxwell, Carey (James) Rohr, Ella (Chris) Pachta; brother-in-law, Heath (Vicki) Ruf; nieces and nephews, Brendon, Kathlyn, Braceton, Donald, Nicholas, Jordan, Jayden, Paul, Michael, Jacob, David, Catharine; great-nephew, Brixton Hauxwell; great-niece, Eleanore Mikkelsen; numerous other family and a host of friends.
