Buster Lee Miers was born on June 15, 1946 in Seward, Nebraska to Willard and Wanda (Erford) Miers and passed away on June 17, 2021 in Omaha, Nebraska at the age of 75 years and 2 days.

Buster grew up in Seward where he attended and graduated from Seward High School with the Class of 1964. He then attended Hastings College after high school. Buster was a proud Eagle Scout with Palms and was a Webelos Leader for several years. He was united in marriage on June 17, 1967 to Patricia Soflin at the Seward United Methodist Church. Buster began his career at Seward Motor Freight. The couple lived in various places including Denver, Pennsylvania, Mississippi and Omaha. He worked for different trucking companies including Werner Enterprises where he retired as Fleet Manager in 2016.  He enjoyed watching movies about World War II, Patton & Ike and reading Clive Cussler books. The couple enjoyed traveling together. Buster loved fishing and watching the grandchildren's activities. He loved all types of Apple products and had several different models that still worked to this day.

Buster was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Miers; parents; sister, Linda Miers; sisters and brothers-in-law, Donna (Bob) Thomas, Shirley Thomas and Bill Swanson.

Buster is survived by his children, Jeffrey (Monica) Miers, Aurora, CO, Rebecca (Robert) Samuelson, Omaha; grandchildren, Bridger Miers, Grayson Miers, Makayla Samuelson and Matthew Samuelson; brother, Steven Miers, Lincoln; uncle, Dick Miers; two aunts, Lucille Cross and Mildred Miers; sisters-in-law, Dolly Swanson, Tucson, AZ, Bev (Sam) Schluckbier, Seward, Deanna Soflin, Lincoln; brother-in-law Mike (Myra) Soflin, Seward, Steve (Lori) Soflin, Seward, Rick Thomas, CT and Mark Bogert, Seward.
