Obituary
Carol Ann Stutzman was born on November 1, 1957, in Friend, NE to Francis and Betty Lou (Johnson) Riser and passed away on May 2, 2018, in Seward at the age of 60 years, 6 months and 1 day.
Carol grew up in Friend, where she attended and graduated from Friend High School with the Class of 1976. She then attended Lincoln School of Commerce. Carol worked as a dispatcher for Lincoln Police Department for several years. On November 12, 1983, she was united in marriage to Victor Vic Stutzman at the Seward United Methodist Church. Carol later worked at Metromail for 17 years until her health forced her to retire in 2004. Carol loved reading and playing cards with family and friends. She and Vic enjoyed going for walks in the evening. Some of her greatest joys were family gatherings and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents; infant daughter, Tonia Renee Stutzman in 1986; granddaughter, Tamar Hughes.
Carol is survived by her husband, Vic; daughter, Emily Conner and husband Justin, Seward; step daughter, Shawndra Hughes and husband Tim, Fort Payne, Alabama; three grandchildren, Kelly Hughes, Terry Hughes and Victoria Rose Conner; five siblings, Barbara Parker and husband Doug, Lincoln, Gene Riser, Springfield, MO, Sharon Meyer and husband Robert, Malcolm, Richard Bottger, Lincoln, Shane Bottger, Lincoln; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. To this obituary we add our thoughts, prayers and memories of life shared with Carol.
