Catherine Augusta (Timoney) Hayek was born August 22, 1933 in Ulysses, Nebraska to Thomas and Anna (Lukassen) Timoney and passed away in Seward, Nebraska on December 8, 2012 at the age of 79 years, 3 months, 16 days. Kate attended rural grade school and was a graduate of Ulysses High School. She was united in marriage to Eugene Frederick Hayek on August 29, 1950 in David City, Nebraska. Their marriage was blessed with a son, Donald and two daughters, Constance and Suzanne. They lived in Ulysses following their marriage and moved to Columbus in 2005 and then to Seward in 2012. Kate was the former bookkeeper for the Village of Ulysses and the Farmers Coop in Ulysses. Kate attended Immaculate Conception Cath0lic Church in Ulysses. Kate is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Anna Timoney; son, Donald Hayek; grandson, Charles Michael Endicott; sister, Mary Plessel; her parents-in-law, James and Betty Hayek; brothers-in-law, Don Semin, Darrell Shipley, Harold Phillips, John Vodicka, and Cleo Robak. Kate is survived by her husband, Eugene Hayek, Seward; daughters and sons-in-law, Constance and Rick Endicott and Suzanne and Wes Luebbe, all of Seward; five grandchildren and their spouses, Rick II and Suzanne Endicott, Tyler and Kerry Endicott, Jay and Renae Endicott, Tanya and Brian Woolsey, Jacob and Jessica Luebbe; eight great-granddaughters, Jacee and Bristol Woolsey, Rilyn and Adelyn Luebbe, Katelynn Endicott, Emery, Ava and Faith Catherine Endicott; siblings, Lois Semin, Ulysses, Rita Shipley, Ulysses, Ted and Carolyn Timoney, Ulysses, Betty Phillips, David City, Helen Vodicka, Surprise; brother-in-law, Don Plessel, Seward; in-laws, Bob Hayek, Morrill, NE, Phyllis and Norbert Cerny, Chicago, IL, Bernie and Don Chermok, Lincoln, Jennie Robak, Lincoln, Tom and Lois Hayek, Ulysses; other relatives and a host of friends.
