Chad Justin Peery was born on May 18, 1972, in Seward, Nebraska to Michael and Janice (Spahr) Peery and passed away on May 6, 2026, in Seward, Nebraska at the age of 53 years, 11 months and 18 days.
Chad grew up and attended school in Goehner and Seward, graduating with the Seward high school class of 1990. He attended University of Nebraska-Lincoln for a couple of years while working with Jirovsky & Feigion Construction, until Charlie’s passing in 1995. Chad then became a partner in K & P Construction. On Dec. 7, 1996, Chad was united in marriage to Beth Jirovsky at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, to this union four children were born. In 2013, he began employment with UNL in their maintenance department.
Chad enjoyed sports and especially loved coaching Shea’s softball team. He loved being with his children and attending their events. His family was very important to him. Chad enjoyed going to the family’s cabin in Columbus as well. He had a passion for hunting, carpentry, working on cars, tinkering on projects around the house and watching old war movies.
Chad was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus where he enjoyed helping with the fish frys. He proudly participated in pro-life and Step Up for Down Syndrome walks.
Chad was preceded in death by his father, Michael Peery and sister, Lori Peery.
Survivors cherishing his memory include his four children, Shea and husband, Josh Adams, Grosse Pointe, MI, Camden Peery, Mesa, AZ, Michael Peery, Omaha, Kyle Peery (Haylie Sloup), Seward; mother, Janice Peery, Seward; brother, Mark and wife, Lisa Peery, Seward, Beth Peery, Pensacola, Florida; numerous, nieces, nephews and cousins.
