Chad Gregory Vandenberg, 45, of Dike, IA, died on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, while in the comfort of his home.

Chad Gregory Vandenberg was born on July 4, 1979, in Seward, Nebraska, the son of Greg Vandenberg and Dianne (Hain) Bush. He graduated from Centennial Public High School in Utica, Nebraska. He then attended the University of Nebraska – Lincoln and graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Chad attended Iowa State University earning a master's degree in engineering. He was a hardworking man who dedicated 20 years as an engineer at John Deere in Waterloo, and most recently was employed at TDS Automation Inc. in Waverly.

On June 8, 2002, Chad was united in marriage to Sara Jedlicka in Norfolk, Nebraska. From this union they were blessed with four children: Tyler, Allison, Mikaela and Megan. Chad was a loving father and in his spare time he enjoyed the outdoors, camping, boating, playing cards, and spending time with his family.

Survivors include: his wife, Sara; son, Tyler; daughters, Allison, Mikaela, and Megan; his parents, Greg and Kathy Vandenberg of Seward, NE, and Dianne and Rusty Bush of Utica, NE; brother, Carl Vandenberg; and nieces, Keira and Gabi.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Albert and Georgia Hain and Fred and Joan Vandenberg; Uncle Al Hain, Aunt Becky Vandenberg; and cousins, Katie Hain, Rhonda Johnson and Ann Eilers.
