Charlotte A. (Meseraull) Flyr was born May 22, 1922 in Doniphan, Nebraska to Anthony Hope and Margaret Mildred (Dietsch) Meseraull and passed away in Seward, Nebraska on June 22, 2011 at the age of 89 years, 1 month. She was a 1939 graduate of Doniphan High School and attended business college in Lincoln for one year. On June 6, 1942, Charlotte was united in marriage to Kenneth Henry Flyr in Doniphan and their marriage was blessed with two sons, Kenneth D. Flyr and James A. Flyr. Charlotte was the office manager/bookkeeper for several doctors in Grand Island through her working career until she retired in 1987. Charlotte was a member of Saint Marks Episcopal Pro-Cathedral in Hastings; other memberships included American Legion Auxiliary, General Federation of Woman's Club, and Royal Neighbors. Charlotte resided in Doniphan until moving to Seward on May 22, 2011. Charlotte is preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Margaret Meseraull; her husband, Kenneth H. Flyr in 2002; sister, Geraldine Land; and step-grandson, Jeffery Bietz. Charlotte's survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth D. and Linda Flyr, Seward and James A. and Leslie Flyr, Vancouver, Washington; six grandchildren and spouses, Kathryn Flyr, Jamie Flyr, Kacey Robledo, Diana and Bruce Knaak, Judy and Boe Wiggins, Michael and Brandi Flyr; step-granddaughter, Debbie and Tracy Battle; six great-grandchildren, Kaden and Kellyn Knaak, Alexis and Chace Wiggins, Lily Danhauer, Olivia Flyr; nieces and nephews and a host of friends. To this obituary we add our thoughts, prayers, and memories of life shared with Charlotte. |
