Cherie Rae (Cox) Lucy was born November 16, 1949 in Lincoln, Nebraska to Jesse Raymond and Mildred Irene (Dugger) Cox and passed away in Carlsbad, California on December 22, 2008 at the age of 59 years. Cherie was raised in Lincoln, Nebraska with her two sisters. She was a 1967 graduate of Lincoln High School. On December 31, 1968, Cherie was united in marriage to Robert Dayle Lucy, in Lincoln, Nebraska. Their marriage was blessed with two children, Toby and Casey. The family made their home in Lincoln for several years; then moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico and later to California. Cherie was employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant for many years in California where she assisted residents with a loving, caring touch. Cherie and Bob moved to Cordova, Tennessee within the last year. Cherie enjoyed photography and sharing her photos with family and friends. Cherie was predeceased by her father, Jesse Cox. She is survived by her husband, Robert D. Lucy of Cordova, TN; her daughter and son-in-law, Toby and Rudy Jimenez of San Diego, CA and their daughter, Summer; son, Casey Lucy of Carlsbad, CA and his son, Brandon Norris; her mother, Mildred Cox of Plymouth, WI; sisters, Michelle Stroh of Omaha, NE and Sandra Vasatka of Plymouth, WI; sister-in-law and husband, Lynda and Paul Jensen of Omaha, NE; other relatives and friends |
