Cheryl Marie Mueller was born on October 19, 1961, in Livermore, CA, to Ernest and Vlasta (Vodicka) Pallat and passed away on June 30, 2019, at her home surrounded by her family and friends at the age of 57 years, 8 months and 11 days.
The family moved to the Seward and Butler county area when she was eight years old. She attended and graduated from Seward High School with the Class of 1979. Cheryl was united in marriage to Randy Mueller on May 2, 1980, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and to this union three children were born. Cheryl worked at Pamida and MetroMail for several years before she began working for the State of Nebraska. She first worked in Corrections before going to the Road Department and for the last 15+ years she was employed at the Nebraska Employee Public Retirement Systems (NEPRS). Cheryl loved being with her family and friends. She enjoyed traveling with her close friends, Phil and Cindy Bader. She loved going to Mexico with Justin and his family as well. Cheryl enjoyed watching Brandon play softball. She loved working in her flower and vegetable garden, hosting people at her house, especially on the Fourth of July as it was her favorite holiday. She loved her grandchildren very much, they meant the world to her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Randy (2011); mother-in-law and father-in-law, Edward and Leona Svoboda.
Cheryl is survived by her three children, Justin and Janelle Mueller, Lincoln, Brandon and Lindsey Mueller, Bennington, NE, Lindsay Mueller and Joshua Mobley, Seward; five grandchildren, Scout and Sterling Mueller, Alexander and Gabriel Mobley, Owen Mueller and a new baby being born in October; brother, Dan and Marie Pallat, Ulysses; three sisters, Georgia Therrien, Lincoln, Donna and Dennis Haberstich, South Bend, NE, Mary Marlett, Colorado Springs, CO; brother-in-law, Robert and Sarah Svoboda, Graham, MO; three sisters-in-law, Annette and Jim Boeche, Lincoln, Rose and Jim Harnly, Seward, Diane Svoboda, Seward; Cheryl's significant other, Al Policky; best friend, Cindy Bader. To this obituary we add our thoughts, prayers and memories of a life shared with Cheryl.
