Chilton C. Smithey, 79, of Milford, NE; was born on August 14, 1934, in Gorman, TX to Nicholas and Iva Lorean (Simpson) Duggan and passed away on October 23, 2013, in Milford, NE. She attended and graduated from Corbin High School in Corbin, TX. She then attended business college in Oklahoma. Chilton married A.B. "Bud" Smithey in 1957 in Grand Prairie, TX. She was a secretary for Texas Power and Light Company for many years. Chilton is survived by her sister, Johnnie and husband Jamie McGilvary of Irving, TX; brother, Nickie and wife Margaret Duggan of Waxachie, TX; sister, Virginia and husband Alan Heggedahl of Floodwood, MN; and sister, Mary and husband Wayne Vincent of Whitney, TX; special niece, Connie Dodson of Goehner, NE; and numerous other nieces and nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bud in 2005, son David Smithey in 1980, daughter Tracy Smithey, brothers and sister-in-law, Ed and wife Mike Duggan, Russell Duggan, sisters and brothers-in-law, Francis and husband Virgil Overstreet, Scytha and husband Lynn Alldredge and Stella and husband Floyd Rider. A memorial service will be held later next summer in Gorman, TX.
