Clarence Eugene Pankoke was born August 4, 1934 to Henry and Elsie (Hippie) Pankoke on a farm near Beaver Crossing, Nebraska and passed away in Beaver Crossing, Nebraska on May 6, 2008 at the age of 73 years, 9 months, 2 days. Clarence was a 1951 graduate of Seward High School and a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Goehner. On August 30, 1954, Clarence was united in marriage to Josephine Svehla in Cordova, Nebraska. Their marriage was blessed with five children, John, Keith, Bruce, Deb and Stacy. Clarence was a truck driver for many years for Arthur Pariset, Darrel Ricenbaw and Wynne Transport and operated his own truck. Clarence dairy farmed for many years and was currently employed part-time at Securitas. Clarence loved spending time with his family and friends. Family vacations were always a yearly activity. Camping and fishing with many friends was enjoyed every summer for many years. He loved spending time in his garden and yard. He also enjoyed feeding the birds and building bird houses. His family always remained his greatest joy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Elsie Pankoke and an infant sister. Clarence is survived by his loving wife, Josephine Pankoke, Beaver Crossing; sons and daughters-in-law, John and Jenett Pankoke, Blanchard, Idaho, Keith and Cara Pankoke, Beaver Crossing, Bruce and Linda Pankoke, Beaver Crossing; daughters and sons-in-law, Deb and Jack Zimmer, Central City and Stacy and Jim Lawver, Friend; 10 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; siblings and spouses, Henry Dutch and Myrtle Pankoke, Seward, Maxine and Ted Price, Fremont, Deloris and Bob Carey, Omaha, Shirley Pankoke, Lincoln; nieces and nephews and a host of friends. To this obituary we add our thoughts, prayers and memories of life shared with Clarence. |
