Obituary
Clyde grew up in the Ulysses area where he attended and graduated with the Class of 1960. He enlisted into the United States Navy on September 5, 1960 and was honorably discharged on September 3, 1964. On June 5, 1965, Clyde was united in marriage to Janyce Imig at the Seward United Methodist Church. To this union two daughters were born Michelle and Twila. Clyde began working at Hughes Brothers in 1968 and continued until his retirement in 2003 after 35 years of service. Clyde was a member of the Seward United Methodist Church and the Seward V.F.W. Post #4755.
Clyde was preceded in death by his parents, son-in-law, Tim Walters; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Arnold and Velma Imig; sister, Viola Hartman; three brothers, Dale, Gary and Butch; sister-in-law, Sonya Hobbs.
Clyde is survived by his wife Janyce; two daughters, Michelle Yoder and husband Ryan of Friend, NE; Twila Gann and husband John of Navarre, FL; six grandchildren: Brandon Yoder, Blair Yoder, Levi Walters, Logan Walters, Braedon Gann and Bryce Gann; brother, Lyle Hobbs; sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and husband Frank Patrick; sister-in-law, Madge Hobbs. To this obituary we add our thoughts, prayers, and memories of life shared with Clyde.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 28, 2017, from 1:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Zabka Funeral Home, Seward, NE. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 29, 2017, at Zabka Funeral Home, Seward, with Pastor Robert Henre officiating. Burial will follow at Seward Cemetery, Seward. Memorials may be made to the Hobbs family for future designation.
