Curt grew up mainly in Hyattsville, Maryland where he attended Concordia Lutheran School and graduated from Northwestern High School with the Class of 1979. He enlisted in the U.S Marine Corps in 1979 and was honorably discharged in 1983.
Upon his discharge he began his own cabinet making shop. In 1986, Curt began selling insurance through Aid Association for Lutherans until 1988. In 1988, Curt began working at Ernest Maier, Inc., where they made and sold glass blocks, until 1993. He was self-employed for thirty years. In 1999, Curt started CMH Services Co. LLC-Loft where he installed college dorm furniture with multiple crews, working all over the country. Curt was united in marriage to Jennifer Sellheim on November 22, 2014, in Key West, Florida.
Curt was a craftsman and a jack of all trades. He enjoyed yard work, golfing, Sudoku and crossword puzzles. Curt was an avid fan of the Baltimore Orioles. He was a member of the Seward United Methodist Church and was always active in his church wherever he lived.
