Darlene Viola Krieser was born May 13, 1940 in Seward County, Nebraska to Edward Richard and Hilda A. (Gehle) Krieser and passed away at her home in rural Garland, Nebraska on May 18, 2008 at the age of 68 years, 5 days. Darlene was baptized on May 26, 1940 and confirmed on April 11, 1954, both at Immanuel Lutheran Church (Middle Creek). Darlene attended Christian Grade School at Middle Creek and graduated from Concordia High School in 1958. She worked at Miller and Paine and NBC Bank in Lincoln and retired from Square D after 30 years of service. Darlene enjoyed traveling abroad to such places as Israel, Germany, Greece and other European countries. She was an active member in her church, enjoyed singing in the church choir, Bible study, and volunteering her time. Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, Edward R. and Hilda A. Krieser and her brother, Donald Krieser. Darlene is survived by her aunts, Clara Krieser of Seward and Vera Gehle of Lincoln; many cousins and a host of friends.
