David Allen Hughes was born August 24, 1957 in Lincoln, Nebraska to Duane Roy and Carrol Kay (Schultz) Hughes and passed away on March 28, 2009 at the age of 51 years, 7 months and 4 days. David attended Belmont Elementary School and Lincoln High School. He was employed at Hughes Bros. for the past 18 years were he was active in the International Association of Machinist and Aerospace Workers, Lodge No. 1569. David enjoyed riding his Harley, woodworking and spending time with his friends and family. David was preceded in death by his father, Duane Roy Hughes; grandparents, Roy Hughes and Leota Hughes Vogelsang, Adolf and Mildred Schultz; nephew, Korbyn Fushia; cousin, Randy Bungum; many aunts and uncles. He is survived by his mother, Carrol Kay Hughes of York, Nebraska; sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Jack Weldon of Waco, Nebraska; brother, Donald Hughes and his significant other, Becky Romero both of Bradshaw, Nebraska; God daughter, Kaylee Brose of Seward; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews and a host of friends. To this obituary we add our many thoughts, prayers, and memories of life shared with David. |
