Obituary
Davin Craig Roberts was born on September 15, 1952 in Raymond, South Dakota to Russell and Margaret (Lucke) Roberts and passed away on January 23, 2018 in Seward, Nebraska at the age of 65 years, 4 months and 8 days. He grew up on the family farm in Raymond, South Dakota and attended school in Clark, South Dakota where he graduated with the Class of 1970. He attended trade school for two years studying welding.
In 1971, Davin enlisted into the U.S. Air Force and was honorably discharged in 1973. After his military service he began driving a truck. He hauled everything from iodized salt to elephants for the Barnum and Bailey Circus and even hauled stage equipment for Metallica. He could man handle a Bobcat like no one else. He enjoyed playing cards as well as dice and loved sweets and coffee. He had a love for old cars and going to car shows. His hobbies included working in his yard and garden and he enjoyed eating the food he grew. Davin never knew a stranger and always considered it a good day if he could make someone laugh. He enjoyed watching western movies and reading Zane Grey books.
Davin was preceded in death by his dad, Russell (2002); brother, Dana Roberts; sister, Barbie Roberts.
Survivors include his mother, Margaret Roberts, Clark, South Dakota; sister, Jeanne Claussen, Clark, South Dakota; five sons: Damion Wright, Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Donny Roberts and fiance, Holly Rauch, Seward, Dana Roberts and fiance, Erica, Crete, Darrell Roberts and fiance, Miranda, Watertown, South Dakota, Dylan Roberts and wife, Jessi, Lincoln; 13 grandchildren. To this obituary we add our thoughts, prayers and memories of life shared with Davin.
