Debra Jane (Tomlinson) Hartmann was born October 22, 1959 in Wurzburg, Germany to Jon Deloss and Stefanie Elisabeth (Gsottberger) Tomlinson and passed away on April 17, 2006 in Lincoln, Nebraska at the age of 46 years, 5 months, 26 days. Debra was baptized on November 22, 1959 in Germany; she attended grammar school in South Dakota, Alaska and Nebraska and was a 1977 graduate of Bellevue East High School. Debra received her degree with a political science major from the University of Nebraska Omaha in 1981. She was employed with the Bank of Bellevue from 1977-1981, with Harris Corporation as an account manager from 1981-1984 and beginning in 1985 with the State of Nebraska in the Department of Health and Human Services as program director for Every Woman Matters. Since her 2000 appointment by the Governor, Debra was serving as the Executive Director of the Nebraska Volunteer Service Commission AmeriCorps. On September 19, 1998, Debra was united in marriage to Anthony William Hartmann at Faith Lutheran Church in Seward. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, the Book Club at Liberty House and the Gourmet Club.

Debra is survived by her husband, Andy Hartmann, Seward; children and spouse, Zac and Christina Hartmann and their children, Cayden and Alivia Hartmann; Jennifer Hartmann, Alex Hartmann, all of Seward; her parents, Jon and Stefanie Tomlinson, Bellevue; sister and brother-in-law, Marion and Raymond Williams, Grandby, Missouri; nephews and niece; parents-in-law, Bill and Doris Hartmann, Seward; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jon and Sharon Hartmann, Seward; niece and nephews; and a host of friends.
