Debra Evonne (Miller) Lange was born on September 22, 1953, in Hebron, Nebraska to Dean and Allyne (Marlar) Miller and passed away on November 29, 2018, in Malcolm at the age of 65 years, 2 months and 7 days.
Deb grew up on a farm near Hebron. She loved riding horses and had a few that were special. She graduated from Hebron High School with the Class of 1971. She attended and earned an accounting degree from the Grand Island School of Business. On July 11, 1975, Deb was united in marriage to Douglas R. Lange in Hebron. The couple made their home in Malcolm. On October 29, 1977, Doug and Deb had a son, Todd, whom they adored. She worked as a Postal Clerk for 28 years before retiring in October of 2011. Deb enjoyed reading, sewing and crocheting in her spare time. She also liked to be outside helping with gardening, flowers, and helping Doug mow their yard. Deb was a longtime member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Malcolm. Deb was a very special and loving person and will be missed very dearly by her husband and many other family members as well as countless friends.
Doug would especially like to thank the Tabitha Hospice team for all the love, care and support for Deb and himself at this difficult time. Deea, thank you for being there at the end. You were my rock. I am so grateful you were here with Deb and I. Pastor Tassey, thanks for all your visits, talks, prayers and support through these many difficult years for both of us. The kindness and care these many individuals gave us will never be forgotten.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dean and Allyne Miller.
Deb is survived by her husband, Doug, Malcolm; son and daughter-in-law, Todd and Katrina Lange, Ulysses; four granddaughters, Kaycee, Kinzie, Katelyn and Kassidy Lange; brother and sister-in-law, Rod and Jean Miller, Dundas, Minnesota; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Vicki and Rich Ducharme, Omaha, Tes and Jon Cline, Spring Hill, Florida; mother-in-law, Bernice Lange, Malcolm; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. To this obituary we add our thoughts, prayers and memories of life shared with Deb.
