Delmer Roy Dierberger was born December 15, 1936 in Seward, Nebraska to Elmer and Charlotte (Graff) Dierberger and passed away at his home in Utica, Nebraska on April 23, 2006 at the age of 69 years, 4 months, 8 days. Delmer was a 1954 graduate of Seward High School and was engaged in farming on the family farm until his retirement at the age of 65 years. Delmer was united in marriage to Iona Marie Garrett on January 6, 1966 and to this union two sons were born, David and Brian. Delmer was a charter member of the Tamora Volunteer Fire Department, was active for 33 years on the department and served as Chief for 20 years. He was a member of Friedens United Church of Christ in Goehner. Delmer and Iona had been residents of Utica for the last 12 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Charlotte Dierberger and a grandson Max Dierberger.

Delmer is survived by his wife, Iona Dierberger of Utica; sons and daughter-in-law, David Dierberger, Utica, Brian and Betsy Dierberger, Gregory, Michigan; two grandsons, Clayton and Kirk Dierberger, cousins and a host of friends.
