Delores Ann (Hraban) Svoboda was born August 28, 1929 in Bruno, Nebraska, the daughter of James and Emma (Stoupa) Hraban and passed away on October 2, 2013 in Lincoln, Nebraska at the age of 84 years, 1 month, 4 days. Delores attended rural school near Bruno and later Weston School. On April 20, 1949 she was united in marriage to Matej "Mike" Frank Svoboda in Dwight, Nebraska and their marriage was blessed with two sons, Michael and Gary. Shortly after their marriage they moved to Seward where Delores worked at Johnson Locker and did cleaning for Seward VFW Post #4755 Delores was a member of St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church and Seward VFW Post #4755 Auxiliary. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, word puzzle books and going to garage sales. Delores is preceded in death by her parents, James and Emma Hraban; her husband, Mike Svoboda in 1979; four brothers, Frank, John, James and Alfred "Zeus" Hraban; sisters, Agnes Steinbach and Mary Tejral. Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Monica Svoboda of Wahoo and Gary and Esther Svoboda of Seward; three grandchildren, Joshua Svoboda, Mike Svoboda and his fiancé, Tessa Main and Megan Svoboda; her sister, Mildred Synovec of Huntington Beach, California; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Edward V. and Leona Svoboda, Seward, Delores "Dottie" Hraban, Wahoo; many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
