Dennis Frank Janousek was born on April 5, 1949, in David City, NE; to Emil Joseph and Mary Rose (Nevole) Janousek and passed away on October 13, 2014, in Lincoln, NE; at the age of 65 years, 6 months and 8 days. Dennis grew up in the Loma area and attended East Butler schools. After his education, Dennis worked for about 6 months at the egg plant in David City. He then began working at Hughes Brothers on August 5, 1968. He continued working there for 35 years. He loved his animals on the farm, especially his ponies and donkeys. He really looked forward to doing outside work and chores while living with Tom and Karen Butzke, no matter the weather conditions. Dennis enjoyed listening to Polka music while driving around after church on Sundays. He was formerly attended Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Brainard and most recently St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Bee. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Alfred and Richard Janousek; one sister Lucille Tichy, nephew Lawrence Tichy. He is survived by two brothers, Emil and wife Mary Janousek of Bee, NE; Leonard and wife Nancy Janousek of Weston, NE; two sisters, Delores and husband Ronnie Nimps and Darlene Zikmund all of Omaha, NE; brother-in-law Frank Tichy of Bee, NE; sister-in-law, Roberta Janousek of Seward, NE; Special cousins, Tom and Karen Butzke of Staplehurst, NE; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16, 2014, from 1:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Zabka Funeral Home. A rosary will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 17, 2014, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 a.m. at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church with Father Brendan Kelly celebrating. Burial will follow at St. Luke's Cemetery in Loma, NE. Memorials may be made to the Dennis Janousek Family for future designation.
