Denzil Ray Cobb was born August 13, 1936 in Fitzgerald, Georgia to William Craven "W.C." and Bertha Louise (Thompson) Cobb and passed away on March 17, 2013 in Lincoln, Nebraska at the age of 76 years, 7 months, 4 days. Denzil was a 1954 graduate of Fitzgerald High School and then enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. Denzil retired from the U.S. Air Force after 20 years of service. On June 13, 1961, Denzil was united in marriage to his longtime pen pal, Laurenda Mae "Renny" (Thorne) Cobb and their marriage was blessed with one son, Denzil Lee Cobb. They moved to the Seward area in 1977 and Denzil completed a degree in business administration from Southeast Community College. He was employed with Rogge Engineering in Lincoln. as office manager. Denzil was a life member of Seward VFW Post No. 4755; other memberships included the Air Force Sergeant's Association, the Retired Enlisted Association and New Life Church of the Nazarene in York. Denzil is preceded in death by his wife, Renny in 2007; his parents, W.C. and Bertha L. Cobb; brother-in-law, Marvin Traylor. Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Denzil L. and Kris Cobb, Seward; daughter and son-in-law, Jen and Eric Miller, Seward and children, Zandra Miller, Levi Voehl and Shawn Voehl; sisters, Eloise Traylor and Albertena "Tena" Arthur, both of West Helena, Arkansas; sister-in-law, Patty Elliott, York and her daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Erik Siebrass, York and son, Dakota; brother-in-law, LeRoy Thorne, Dorchester and his sons, Eugene and Clifton; nieces and nephews; extended family, Rodger and Vi Elliott, Blair, other relatives and a host of brothers and sisters in Christ.
