Donald Reed Baack was born April 6, 1955 in Seward Nebraska, the son of Victor William and Ina Jean (Wolvin) Baack and passed away on April 2, 2014 at the age of 58 years, 11 months, and 27 days. Don was baptized on May 1, 1955 and was confirmed both at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, rural Staplehurst. Don was a 1973 graduate of Seward High School. On April 7, 1973, Don was united in marriage to Susan Viets at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church and their marriage was blessed with one daughter, Heather. They lived all of their married life in Seward. Don was employed with Hicks Electric and then had his own busineses, Don Baack Electric. Currently he was employed with Huffman Engineering in Lincoln where he had worked for seven years. Don was a member of the City and County Planning Commission for Seward. Don is preceded in death by his father, Victor Baack; his step-father, Herman Fehlhafer; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Les and Dorothy Viets; and step-brothers, Robert Fehlhafer and Wayne Fehlhafer. Don is survivied by his wife, Sue Baack, Seward; his daughter and son-in-law, Heather and Nate Myers, Seward; grandchildren, Mackenzie Myers, Jensyn Myers and Ben Myers, Seward; his mother, Jean Baack Fehlhafer, Seward; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ken and Marlene Baack, Utica and Stan and Nancy Baack, Audubon, IA; his sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and Rick Cradick, Utica; nieces and nephews; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Judy and Phil Zillig, Lincoln, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ron and Sally Viets, Seward. Additional survivors include step-brothers and step-sisters and their spouses, Stanley and Virginia Fehlhafer, Lincoln, Ralph Fehlhafer, Cody, WY, Kathryn and Duane Janssen, Syracuse, Cynthia Beck, Topeka, KS, Mary Fehlhafer, Seward; step-sisters-in-law, Doris Fehlhafer, Seward and Betty Fehlhafer, Utica; other relatives and a host of friends.
