Don Beckman left this world on March 6, 2012 to be with his beautiful wife. Donald Wayne Beckman was born June 28, 1921 to Ben and Alta (Erb) Beckman at the farm in Seward County, Nebraska. He was baptized on August 7, 1921 at St. John Church by Pastor Becker. Don graduated from Goehner High School in 1938. Don married Alvina Jane Herrold on December 2, 1945 at her family home. Together they did farming, trucking, and started an antique business. Don retired in the early 1990's. Don is preceded in death by his wife Alvina in March of 2010; an infant brother and his parents, Ben and Alta Beckman. Survivors are daughters and their spouse, Sandie and Ralph, Connie, Becky and Dan, Sueann and Danny; nine grandchildren; four great-grandsons; one sister, Phyllis and one brother, Leon.
