Donald Eugene Guenther, Jr. was born on October 10, 1962, in Riverton, Wyoming to Donald and Virginia (Caldwell) Guenther and passed away on January 28, 2022, at home surrounded by his family in Seward, Nebraska at the age of 59 years, 3 months, and 18 days.

Don grew up in Lincoln where he attended Clare-McPhee Elementary School, Goodrich Middle School, and graduated from Centennial High School with the Class of 1981. On December 11, 1982, he was united in marriage to Jenny Owens at St. John Lutheran Church and to this union three children were born, Sasha, Tara, and Mikhail. For several years Don worked at the Nebraska Public Power District, the Seward Police Department as the community service officer, and at the Staplehurst Bar. He was later confirmed at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Staplehurst. He later married Teresa Frasier in Seward on September 4, 2010.

Don coached basketball, baseball, and softball. He also refereed basketball games for 32 years and loved it. Don enjoyed golf so much that sometimes he would play 72 holes in one day. He had a strong love for spending time with his family and friends.

Don is preceded in death by his parents, Don and Virginia Guenther and brother, Ken Guenther.

Survivors cherishing Don's memory include his wife, Teresa Guenther, Seward; children, Sasha and husband, Lee Imig, Seward, Tara and husband, Brent Bell, Tempe, AZ, Mikhail Guenther, Seward; grandchildren, Aylexas Bell, Trevyon Bell, Tayanna Bell, Jadyn Riley, Caden Guenther, Rayna Guenther, Beaux Guenther; brothers, Ora Little, Jon Trout; sisters, Donna and husband, Brian Erks, Cheri Guenther, Amy Trout, Shelly Guenther; stepmother, Judeen Guenther; godson, Jake Suhr; goddaughter, Samantha Kaffornas; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. To this obituary we add our thoughts, prayers, and memories of a life shared with Don.
