Obituary

Donald Lee Foster was born on December 30, 1925, in Ulysses, Nebraska to James Grover and Ellen Mae (Moore) Foster and passed away on February 19, 2018, in Ulysses at the age of 92 years, 1 month and 20 days. Don grew up in the Ulysses area where he attended school and graduated from Ulysses High School in the Class of 1943.

On August 4, 1948, he was united in marriage to Elizabeth J. Reznicek at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Ulysses. Don farmed in the area for several years and he also worked at Hughes Brothers. In 1968 Don began working at Good Year until he retired in January of 1989. Don served on District 66 School Board and also on Ulysses Town Board for several years. He was a member of the Ulysses Volunteer Fire Department and a lifetime member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Don and Elizabeth would have celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary this year.

Don was preceded in death by his parents; parents-in-law, Cyril and Marie Reznicek; son, Steven Foster in 2003; son-in-law, Ivan Dvorak in 2015; two brothers, Edward and Joseph Foster; sister, Betty Hurt.

Don is survived by his wife Elizabeth; six daughters, Yvonne and husband Jim Morbach, Bellwood, Susan and husband Ron Benes, Brainard, Laurie and husband Larry Cemper, Columbus, Louise Dvorak, Seward, Annette and husband Greg Beringer, Bellwood, Mary and husband Rod Seidel, Columbus; son, Michael Foster, Surprise; 16 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren and one great, great grandson.
