Donald Eugene Guenther, Sr. was born on March 30, 1935 in Beatrice, Nebraska, the son of Deaconess Clarence Jasper Guenther and Gladys (Geisler) Guenther and passed away at his home in Beaver Crossing, Nebraska on September 21, 2015 at the age of 80 years, 5 months, and 22 days. Don attended school in Beatrice and served in the U.S. Navy. Don was united in marriage to Virginia Mary Caldwell. Don worked for Misle Chevrolet in Lincoln for many years; later he was employed with Lincoln Poultry, Old Home Bread Company, Gerhold Concrete and as a truck driver for Schulz Transfer, retiring at 62 years of age. Virginia passed away on April 13, 1976 and Don was united in marriage to Judeen Claire Bretthorst on May 27, 1977 in Utica, Nebraska. Don and Judeen have lived in Beaver Crossing for 38 years. Don is preceded by his parents; his wife, Virginia Guenther; his brother, Ron; son, Kenneth Guenther. Survivors cherishing Don's memory include his wife, Judeen of Beaver Crossing; Don's children and their families, Donna and Brian Erks of Lincoln and their children, Brooke (Kent) Micek, Mark Erks, Melinda (Justin) Paces and their son, Jahrran, Samantha Erks and Zachary Yager and their daughter, Aria Yager; Cheri Guenther of Lincoln and her children Dana (Thomas) Cote, Nicole Harner and fiance' Jeffrey French and Hannah Guenther; Don and Teresa Guenther of Seward and children, Sasha Guenther, Tara (Brent) Bell and their children Aylexas Bell, Jadyn Riley, Tre'vyon Bell, Tay'anna Bell, and Mikhail (Shelbie) Guenther and son Caden Guenther; and Don and Judeen's daughter, Shelly Guenther of Littleton, Colorado and son Tristan Vieselmeyer. Additional survivors are Don's sisters, Betty and Nanatte and stepson Ora Little of Rivertown, Wyoming; and Judeen's children, Jon Trout of Waco and children, Danielle Trout, Dustyn Trout and Doyle Trout; Amy Trout of Lincoln and children Brennen Gregory, Kierra and son, Ryder J.
