Donald Lee Soukup was born on August 26, 1971 in Seward, Nebraska to Joseph Donald and Mary Ann (Bejvancesky) Soukup and passed away on May 23, 2011 at the age of 39 years, 8 months, 28 days. Don was baptized and received Holy Communion at Assumption Catholic Church. He was a 1990 graduate of East Butler High School. On May 31, 2003, Don was united in marriage to Holly Lynn Brose in Seward, Nebraska. He was a member of Assumption Catholic Church in Dwight. Don was a loving husband and father and a great man. He spent countless hours building the beautiful family home. He enjoyed the outdoorsfishing, camping, riding his Harley and teaching his son to hunt. He also loved spending time with good friends and most of all his father-in-law. Don was currently employed with United Contractors Inc. in Iowa where he was a heavy equipment machine operator. He was employed for many years with TCW in Lincoln, Nebraska. Don is preceded in death by his grandparents, Joe and Lillian Soukup and Joe and Albina Bejvancesky. Don is survived by his wife, Holly Soukup, Seward; children, Jake and Chelsey, Seward; parents, Joe and Mary Soukup, Dwight; siblings and spouses, Mary Jo and Randy Roth, Seward, Joe and Shelly Soukup, Ulysses, Annette and Isaac Cornelison, Marionville, MO, Deb and Matt Hayek, Ulysses, Kristy Soukup and fiance Jacob Bramhall, Dwight; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Keith and Judy Brose, Seward, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Deb and Steve Hemphill, Staplehurst, Mike and Jennine Neihardt, Lincoln, Kelly Hansen, Seward, Donnie Stockley and significant other Georgia Taylor, Seward; numerous nieces and nephews and many friends. To this obituary we add our thoughts, prayers and memories of life shared with Don. |
