Obituary
Donald Eugene Olson was born August 2, 1935 in Milford, Nebraska and passed away on April 14, 2017 in Milford, Nebraska at the age of 81 years, 8 months, 12 days. Donald was the son of Paul Alfred and Martha (Nelsen) Olson. He graduated from Milford High School in 1952 and attended the University of Nebraska in Lincoln for one year. Donald was united in marriage to Ardyce Jean Abel on March 17, 1955 in Seward. Their marriage was blessed with five children: Debera, Bruce, Beth, Shelly and Cheryl. Don was a dairyman and farmer near Milford all of his life until moving in 1993 to Seward. Don was a member of the Holstein Dairy Association . He enjoyed bowling and raising roses and was an avid Nebraska sports fan.
Don is preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Marth Olson; sister, Marcia Chu and a granddaughter, Kyllie Pfenning.
Survivors cherishing Don's life include his wife, Ardie, Seward; children and spouses: Debera and Ray Pfenning of Grand Island, Bruce and Pat Olson of Waco, Beth and David VoKoun of Hallam, Shelly Olson of Seward, Cheryl and John Gaskins of Seward; 16 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and a host of friends. To this obituary we add our thoughts, prayers and memories of life shared with Don.
