Robotham
December 27, 1929 – May 11, 2022
Donald Lowell Robotham was born on December 27, 1929, in Lincoln, Nebraska to Harry and Etta (Brown) Robotham, the fourth of six children, and passed away on May 11, 2022, at the Seward Memorial Hospital at the age of 92 years, 4 months, and 14 days.
Don attended Malcolm High School and graduated with the Class of 1948. During his high school years, he enjoyed competing on the track team. After high school, Don worked at a parking garage until his employment began at Gooch Mill ADM in September of 1956. He also enjoyed farming his land in Pleasant Dale for several years. Don retired on January 10, 1992. He served in the National Guard for three years and was a member of the Malcolm United Methodist Church.
Don enjoyed many fishing trips as well as hunting with his family and friends. He loved following all Husker sports, bowling, playing cards, and eating ice cream. His family has fond memories of enjoying several bowls of chocolate ice cream with him. Don was also known for his wonderful krispie bars of many different varieties which he brought to all the family reunions. He was an endeared uncle to his many nieces and nephews, and he was a friend to many. His wonderful smile and contagious laughter that he brought into their lives will be missed. His kindness and willingness to help others was always recognized. They look forward to seeing him in Heaven one day.
Don is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Frank (Joanna) Robotham, Plin Robotham, Earl (Dorothy) Robotham, Harriet (James) Booher; cousin, Marjorie Rudolf; nephews, William, Robert, and Gary Robotham.
Survivors left to cherish his memory include his brother and sister-in-law, Leonard and Phyllis Robotham; sister-in-law, Carol Robotham; numerous nieces and nephews. To this obituary we add our thoughts, prayers and memories of a life shared with Don.
