Donna Marie Shaw was born on February 13, 1948, in Council Bluffs, Iowa to Donald Edward and Lois Marie (Dimmitt) Hickman and passed away on April 18, 2012, at the age of 64 years, 2 months and 5 days. Donna grew up in the Omaha area where she attended school. In her younger years Donna would often spend her summers in Seward with her grandparents. Donna married Thomas A. Shaw on September 16, 1977, in Raymond, Nebraska to this union 2 children were born. Donna drove a dump truck for Constructors, Inc. in Lincoln for 15 years before retiring in 2006. Donna and Tom drove trucks long distance for several years. Trucking was a love for both of them. She enjoyed camping, listening to country music and dancing. She also did a lot of art work when she was younger. Donna is survived by her children; James and wife Karen Shaw of Ulysses, NE; and Thomas Shaw Jr., step father, Allen Sipley of Seward, NE; brothers, Dan Hickman and wife Charlotte of Houston, TX; Rick Hickman and wife Cindy of Geneva, NE; and Allen Sipley, Jr. of Ogallala, NE; sisters, Linda Skala of Garland, NE; Debbie Hain and husband Randy of Seward, NE; grandchildren, Joshua, Courtney and Austin Shaw, aunt and uncle, Marilyn and Bernie Novak of Bee, NE;, numerous nieces and nephews and special friends, Marcia and Trevor Smith of Seward, NE. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas A. Shaw; sister, Karen Hickman; nephew, Bobby Jo Nelson. Memorial contributions may be made to the Donna M. Shaw family.
