In Memory Of Doris J. Chambers Doris Jean (Chalupa) Chambers was born January 11, 1934 in Crete, Nebraska to Lumir and Helen (Vyhnalek) Chalupa and passed away on February 6, 2009 in Lincoln, Nebraska at the age of 75 years, 26 days. Doris was united in marriage to Tom W. Chambers, Sr. on June 9, 1956 in Crete. Doris worked for many years at the Pizza Kitchen in Milford. She was a member of the Seward United Methodist Church, Holmes American Legion Auxiliary Post 178 in Beaver Crossing and the Royal Neighbors of America. Doris sold Stanley products for several years. Her hobbies included Bridge Club and Bingo. Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Chambers in 2004 and her parents, Lumir and Helen Chalupa. Doris is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Tom Jr. and Glenda Chambers of Norfolk and Don and Bonnie Chambers of Lincoln; grandchildren, Jason Chambers and his wife, Erin, Jordyn Chambers, Kristin Chambers, all of Lincoln, Travis Chambers of Omaha, Stephanie Chambers of Norfolk; great-grandchildren, Jayden and Addyson Chambers both of Lincoln; sister and brother-in-law, Lorene Colin and her husband, Robert Jr., of Lincoln; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Wanda Chambers of Tulsa, OK, Ann and Marty Malone of Norman, OK; Larry and Yvonna Chambers of Elmore, AL; aunts, Edith McCormick and her husband, Robert of Hemet, CA and Olga Vyhnalek of Crete and a host of friends. To this obituary we add our thoughts, prayers and memories of life shared with Doris. |
