Dorothy Paula Robotham was born on April 16, 1929, in York, Nebraska to Alfred J. and Eleanor E. (Gocke) Leybold and passed away in Seward, Nebraska on October 28, 2012, at the age of 83 years, 6 months and 12 days. Dorothy was baptized and confirmed at St. John Lutheran Church in Waco, Nebraska. Dorothy attended grade school in York before the family moved to Lincoln. She graduated from Lincoln High School. After school Dorothy worked at Russell Stover's in Lincoln and Elgin Watch Company. On January 12, 1958, she married Earl E. Robotham at Emmanual Lutheran Church in Lincoln. After their marriage the couple moved to the farm east of Seward where they farmed and milked cows. She loved gardening, canning her vegetables and making bread. Dorothy loved being a farm wife and mother to her children. She enjoyed hosting family gatherings and reading. Dorothy was a member of the Seward United Methodist Church. Dorothy is survived by her children: John Robotham of Pleasant Dale, NE; David (Deb) Robotham of York, NE; Edward (Pam) Robotham of LeMars, IA; Lori Robotham of Seward, NE; six grandchildren: Wess (Shannon) Robotham, Dale Robotham, Chris Prince, Ryan Robotham, Elizabeth (Ryan) Anderson, Katharine Robotham, two great grandchildren: Xzavier and Alexzander, four sisters: Myra Wertz, Lila Spiers, Ellie Wilken, Mary Anne Thompson, brother: Allen Leybold and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband: Earl E. Robotham on January 7, 2010, and brother: Norman Leybold. Memorial contributions may be made to Donor's Choice in care of the Robotham family.
