Dorothy Mae (Anderson) Uffelman was born February 15, 1920 in Milford, Nebraska, the daughter of Otto William and Mary Amelia (Unzicker) Anderson and passed away in Seward, Nebraska on April 17, 2015 at the age of 95 years, 2 months, 2 days. Dorothy was baptized on June 13, 1920 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Ruby, Nebraska and confirmed on June 9, 1935 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Goehner, Nebraska. Dorothy attended Pilot Knob Country School and was a 1937 graduate of Milford High School. On November 18, 1945, Dorothy was united in marriage to Marvin William Uffelman at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Goehner. Their marriage was blessed with three sons, Dennis, Harold, and Ronald. After her marriage, Dorothy lived in the same area all of her life until moving to Heartland Park in June of 2013. Dorothy was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, rural Waco; also Ladies Aid and LWML. Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Marvin in 1976; two sons, Dennis and Harold; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Lillian and Virgil Naber, Mildred and Harlan Naber, Clara and Euen "Jim" McMahon; and two brothers, Raymond Anderson and Lloyd Anderson. Survivors cherishing Dorothy's memory include her son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Janell Uffelman, Waco; three grandchildren, Brent and Jennifer Uffelman, Waco, Kristen and Herbert Mueller, Westgate, IA, Jacquelyn and Matthew Schranz, Seward; seven great-grandchildren, Allison, Conner, Carly, Hailey, Naomi, Micah and Rachel; brother, Dale and Elaine Anderson, Milford; nieces and nephews; sister-in-law Norma Anderson, Syracuse and a host of friends.
