Obituary

Douglas Duane Redmond was born on August 3, 1946, in Cheyenne, Wyoming to Vern Earl and Treva Jane (Maples) Redmond and passed away on August 12, 2018, in Lincoln at the age of 72 years, and 9 days.

Doug grew up in Colorado where he attended and graduated from Adams City High School. He then attended Colorado State University in Fort Collins. Doug worked at various jobs in the Denver Metro area. He moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico where he managed three restaurants for several years. He enjoyed traveling to California and the desert southwest. Doug later became an adventurer and traveled to Mexico where he searched for pre-Columbian artifacts. His travels took him all over Mexico, Central America and even Columbia. Later in life he moved to Seward to be closer to his brothers and they started importing high end cigars out of Mexico.

Doug was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by a son, Stacy Redmond of Folsom, CA; three brothers, Don Redmond and wife Merna of Denver, CO, Daniel Redmond of Seward, and Fred Redmond of Seward.
