Douglas Edward Tichy was born on January 1, 1959, in David City, Nebraska to Frank and Lucille (Janousek) Tichy and passed away on May 4, 2019, in Bee, Nebraska at the age of 60 years, 4 months and 3 days. Doug grew up in Bee where he attended school and later attended East Butler High School.

Doug raised animals and cared for them at the "Bee Zoo". He also worked at the Henningsen Foods Inc. in David City for 15 years. He enjoyed raising chihuahuaua dogs. Doug loved going to gun shows as well as trapping and deer hunting. He enjoyed going to swap meets to buy and sell things and loved collecting various types of items. He also enjoyed garage sales, auctions and livestock auctions. Doug loved his family, especially his niece, nephew and great-nieces. He was always willing to help anyone that needed it.

Doug was preceded in death by his mother, Lucille Tichy (2007); brother, Lawrence Tichy (2010).

Survivors include his father, Frank Tichy, David City; two sisters, Connie Guiney, Independence, MO, Bonnie Tichy, Bee; nephew, Anthony Guiney and girlfriend, Christy Dodd; niece, Amanda Guiney and boyfriend, Danny Parsons; great-nieces, Hayli Guiney, Kimber Parsons.
