Edward Joseph Kouma was born July 27, 1931 in Dwight, Nebraska to Joseph and Mary (Nemec) Kouma and passed away on their farm in Dwight, Nebraska on November 17, 2008 at the age of 77 years, 3 months, 21 days. Ed attended grade school at District No. 73 Neilville. On January 10, 1976 Ed was united in marriage to Darlene Osmera at Assumption Catholic Church in Omaha, Nebraska. Their marriage was blessed with one daughter, Melanie. Ed was a member of Assumption Catholic Church in Dwight and had served as a trustee several times. He was also a 48-year member of Catholic Workman. Ed was a lifelong farmer who loved his tractors, especially his John Deere 620. Work was a very important part of his life and he was always busy. Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Mary Kouma; his brothers, Albin, Anthony, Ernest, Jim and Emil Kouma and his sisters, Agnes Kunasek and Adella Kouma. Ed is survived by his wife, Darlene Kouma of Dwight; his daughter and son-in-law, Melanie and Joel Wesely of Raymond and granddaughters, Lillian and Kaitlyn Wesely; his brother, Ray Kouma, Dwight; sister and brother-in-law, Gladys and Adrian Blatny, Brainard; sister-in-law, Marilyn Kouma, Omaha; father-in-law, John Osmera, Dwight; brother-in-law, Eugene Osmera, Los Angeles, CA; other relatives and a host of friends. To this obituary we add our thoughts, prayers and memories of life shared with Ed. |
