Edwin Edward Gruntorad was born July 8, 1929 near Dwight, Nebraska to Edward and Agnes (Mares) Gruntorad and passed away in Lincoln, Nebraska on July 28, 2011 at the age of 82 years, 20 days. Edwin was a 1947 graduate of Dwight Public High School and served in the U.S. Army. Edwin was united in marriage to Marilyn Jane Moravec on October 12, 1954 at Dwight. They farmed west and south of Dwight. He was a member of Dwight Assumption Catholic Church, Catholic Workmen, Dwight American Legion Post #110, and the Dwight Rural Fire District. Edwin is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Agnes Gruntorad and his brother-in-law, Harold Lowe. Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Gruntorad of Dwight; sisters and brother-in-law, Aldeane Lowe of Sutton and Marcy and Richard Coufal of Dwight; nieces and nephews and a host of friends. To this obituary we add our thoughts, prayers and memories of life shared with Edwin. |
